Ingeniero de Telecomunicación

Paulo Villegas is a Telecommunications Engineer from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). He is currently an associate professor at UAM (VPULab); in addition he works at Telefónica CDO (Chief Data Office), where he coordinates the Cognitive Computing team, developing solutions for conversational systems. Previously he was at the Global Video Unit also at Telefónica, where he worked at data analysis and recommendations systems for video content.

His main interests are in the Machine Learning/Artifiicial Intelligence areas, specially related to Natural Language Processing, Visual Analysis and User Profiling, and in Information Retrieval, specially connected to multimedia content.
