Computer Scientist

Fabrizio Tiburzi was born in Madrid 1982. He got his degree on computer science in the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2004 and concluded his Master Thesis in 2006. Since 2004 he has been a member of the VPU-LAB, focusing his research on the analysis of video sequences in compressed domain, the static and dynamic characterization of textures, the segmentation of objects in presence of complex backgrounds and the study of robust techniques to fit parametric models in artificial vision –which he mainly applies to estimate the camera motion in unfavorable situations–. He has collaborated in the MESH and AceMedia European projects and is currently doing his PhD on motion-based segmentation under the supervision of Dr. Jesús Bescós.
